I just got my parakeet 3 days ago and i was wanting to teach it some tricks that don’t take days to teach. Just some simple tricks would do. He already knows the command up.

where to ****. SERIOUS! i had 1 and my family could disipline a dog, a cat, a turtle, fish (not really- fish are SO stupid!), and a couple of strays. But it is so hard to disipline a parakeet. they pooped all over our couch. it blows.

Maybe you mean 2 and a half MONTH old parakeet. This is a two and a half week old keet::&tbnh=82&tbnw=62&prev=/images%3Fq%3D2%2Bweek%2Bold%2Bparakeet%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D

2 and a half WEEKS? I didn’t know parakeets fledged that fast. I didn’t know any bird got to the point of being able to stand on it’s own that fast… I’m guessing whoever told you the age lied. but either way…

Do something original, something other than spinning around the perch or whatever else parakeets are capable of. Teach it to pick pockets or something. Though I actually never thought that parakeets could do much… no offense but I’ve been told they aren’t all that smart, but you can try.

I just read the answer about teaching it where to poo. Birds are all incontonent, the best you can do is teach it to poo before you take it out the cage or to give you a sign when it knows it’s coming. They CAN’T hold it. Literally.
